Garmin G1000 Student Simulator Software

Overview      Benefits      Features      Exclusive Features      Flexibility      Options and Pricing

G1000 software that's not just realistic … it’s also flexible.

The G1000 Student Simulator software is designed to be used on typical computer setups. Photorealistic bezel graphics provide functional buttons and knobs so the student can control the G1000 with a mouse. An inexpensive gaming joystick or yoke can be used to control the simulation when the autopilot isn’t engaged. You can use the same computer and monitors to access other applications too, like the Garmin G1000 PC Trainer, G1000 courseware, or a web browser.

There are additional options too:

  • G1000 Student Simulator Pro
Want to operate physical knobs and buttons instead of using your mouse? The Pro version of the G1000 Student Simulator software includes all the features of the standard version … plus support for integration with realistic G1000 graphical display units like the Simkits TRC1000, the Emuteq G1000, and the F1 Tech 1000. Additionally, the Pro version is licensed for commercial use and integration into commercial solutions for resale.
  • Cockpit Builder Plug-in
If you’re a home cockpit builder, the G1000 Student Simulator Cockpit Builder Plug-in adds options that make it easy to remove the PFD and MFD bezel graphics, and to precisely position and resize the windows.
  • Flight1 Tech 1000
Want a complete solution? The Flight1 Tech 1000 features the G1000 Student Simulator Pro software and realistic G1000 graphical display units, mounted in a vertical desktop stand. It includes PFD, MFD, and audio panel units, all with realistic controls.

The G1000 Student Simulator software is even more powerful when you combine it with other Flight1 Tech products:

  • With VISPRO and the G1000 Failures Plug-in you can easily and inexpensively add a powerful instructor station to your G1000 sim.
  • Using Scenario Builder you can quickly create a library of interactive simulation-based G1000 training scenarios.

How it works

The G1000 simulation can be run on the same computer as Flight Simulator X or Prepar3D (using one or more monitors), or on a separate machine connected to the flight simulation via a network. It runs outside of the flight simulation in its own windows (PFD, MFD, and Audio Panel), and is not intended to be incorporated directly into a 2D instrument panel or virtual cockpit like typical flight simulation “gauges.”

Running the G1000 Student Simulator on a dedicated networked machine will provide the best performance—with no frame rate affect at all on the flight simulation.

You can choose from preset aircraft configurations that model the V-speeds (customizable) and Engine Indication System displays in the following Cessna Nav III and Diamond aircraft variations:

  • Cessna 172S
  • Cessna 172R
  • Cessna 182T
  • Cessna T182T
  • Cessna 206H
  • Cessna T206H
  • Diamond DA40
  • Diamond DA42

What People Are Saying

Better than the Airplane

"There are so many things that we can’t do in the airplane that we can do a great job of in the simulator.”

The Best Training, Transition, and "Stay Current" Product for Garmin G1000 Avionics

"I'm really impressed with your product and support. I purchased a 2011 Diamond DA40 with G1000 (WAAS) in May, 2015. I fly it IFR regularly and I am convinced that the G1000 Student Pro is the best training, transition, and 'stay current' product for Garmin G1000 avionics (including vs. "approved" flight simulators like Redbird).

"I fly my home simulator all the time because of the mental preparedness it provides for planned flights. I firmly believe that if more IFR, or IFR-in-training, pilots make the modest investment in your product, they'll find it much easier to master Technologically Advanced Aircraft avionics."

David O'Connell
Commercial Pilot

By Far the Best G1000 Simulation On the Market

"Garmin G1000 owners and users have suffered from the lack of a decent and affordable tool to learn how to use and to develop automation proficiency. Flight1 Aviation Technologies has now developed that tool.

"Unlike other G1000 learning tools, the G1000 Student Simulator provides high fidelity, high resolution, and fully functional emulation. It is noteworthy that the G1000 Student Simulator provides complete and accurate automation status as the Garmin G1000 does in the airplane, as well as fully programmable flight plan functionality including storage, retrieval, and editing. Microsoft’s basic G1000 and all third-party variations based on it lack both automation status and programmability.

"Especially when combined with the Flight1 Tech Virtual Instructor Station Pro (VISPRO) and Scenario Builder, the G1000 Student Simulator allows pilots to practice using both basic and advanced functions of the G1000 in a realistic setting which enhances learning and transferability to the real world of aviation. The G1000 Student Simulator is by far the best thing available on the market for learning and developing automation proficiency in the Garmin G1000 system."
